James Nesbitt, born William James Nesbitt on January 15, 1965, is a Northern Irish actor. He gained recognition through his role as Adam Williams in the romantic comedy-drama series Cold Feet (1997–2003, 2016–present), which earned him accolades such as the British Comedy Award, Television and Radio Industries Club Award, and National Television Award. Nesbitt made his feature film debut in Hear My Song (1991) and gained critical acclaim for his performance as pig farmer 'Pig' Finn in Waking Ned (1998), earning a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. He also played Ivan Cooper in the television film Bloody Sunday (2002). Nesbitt continues to be a prominent figure in both film and television.
