James Purefoy Biography
James Brian Mark Purefoy, born on June 3, 1964, is an English actor known for his roles in various movies and TV shows. Some of his notable appearances include portraying Mark Antony in the HBO series Rome, Nick Jenkins in A Dance to the Music of Time, and Joe Carroll in The Following. He has also played Solomon Kane in the film adaptation of the same name and Hap Collins in the Sundance series Hap and Leonard. In 2018, he starred as Laurens Bancroft in the first season of the Netflix original series Altered Carbon. Purefoy was born in Taunton, Somerset and attended Sherborne School before training at the Central School of Speech and Drama.
