Jamie Hector is an American actor, best known for his portrayal of drug kingpin Marlo Stanfield on the HBO drama series The Wire and Detective Jerry Edgar in the drama series Bosch. Born on October 7, 1975, Hector began his acting career after high school, auditioning for a community theater company. He later appeared in various television shows such as New York Undercover, Third Watch, Law & Order, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Hector's breakthrough came with the movie Paid in Full (2002), but it was the short film Five Deep Breaths (2003) that garnered critical acclaim. Five Deep Breaths was an Official Selection of prestigious film festivals including Cannes, Sundance, Tribeca, and IFP, accumulating 16 awards. From 2004 to 2008, Hector's portrayal of Marlo Stanfield in The Wire solidified his reputation as a versatile actor.
