Jamie Kern Lima

Jamie Kern Lima is an American entrepreneur, investor, and media personality. She is best known as the co-founder of IT Cosmetics and the first female CEO of a L'Oréal brand. Born Jamie Marie Kern, she attended Washington State University and graduated as valedictorian. She later obtained her MBA from Columbia Business School in 2004. Kern Lima faced personal challenges with rosacea and hyperpigmentation, which led her to co-found IT Cosmetics in 2008. Despite initial struggles, she persevered and eventually sold the company to L'Oréal for $1.2 billion in 2016. Kern Lima has been recognized as one of Forbes' 'America's Richest Self-Made Women' since 2017.
