Jamie Lee Curtis (born November 22, 1958) is an American actress, producer, and children's author. She is best known for her performances in horror and slasher films, earning her the title of 'scream queen'. Curtis has received numerous accolades, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, and two Golden Globes. She made her television debut in a 1977 episode of Quincy, M.E. and rose to prominence with her role as Laurie Strode in the iconic slasher film Halloween (1978). Curtis continued to star in horror films such as The Fog, Prom Night, and Terror Train. She has reprised her role as Strode in multiple Halloween sequels.
