Jan Maxwell

Jan Maxwell (November 20, 1956 – February 11, 2018) was an American stage and television actress. She was a five-time Tony Award nominee and two-time Drama Desk Award winner. Her notable Broadway credits include City of Angels, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Coram Boy, Lend Me a Tenor, The Royal Family, and Follies. In 2010, she became the fourth actress to achieve two Tony nominations in a single year, and in 2012, she became the second actress to receive a Tony nomination in all four acting categories. Maxwell's career spanned over thirty years, and she was known for her celebrated and critically acclaimed performances on stage.
