Jan Merlin

Jan Merlin (born Jan Wasylewski, April 3, 1925 – September 20, 2019) was an American character actor, television writer, and author. Born in New York City to Polish parents, Merlin attended the Grace Church School for Boys before joining the Navy during World War II. After his discharge, he studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre and made his Broadway debut in 1949. Merlin's career spanned over five decades, including stage plays, radio dramas, television series, and more than 30 feature films. He was known for his versatile performances and appeared in numerous movies and TV shows throughout his career. Jan Merlin passed away in 2019, leaving behind a rich legacy in the entertainment industry.
