Jan Rubeš was a Czech-born Canadian actor. He was born on June 6, 1920, in Volyne, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic). Rubeš began his acting career in Prague before moving to Canada in the 1950s. He gained international recognition for his roles in movies and TV shows. Some of his notable film appearances include 'Witness' (1985) and 'The Dead Zone' (1983). He also made numerous TV show appearances, including 'The X-Files,' 'Due South,' and 'Star Trek: The Next Generation.' Rubeš was known for his versatile acting skills and his ability to portray a wide range of characters. He passed away on June 29, 2009, in Toronto, Canada, at the age of 89.
