Sarah Jane Hazlegrove (born 17 July 1968) is an English actress known for her role as Kathleen 'Dixie' Dixon in the BBC medical drama Casualty. She has appeared in various TV shows including Making Out, Silent Witness, London's Burning, Jonathan Creek, The Bill, Doctors, Families, Lovejoy, Coronation Street, and Holby City. Hazlegrove, a lesbian, portrayed a gay character in Casualty and was recognized as one of the 100 most influential LGBT people in 2012's World Pride Power List. She is married to actress Isobel Middleton. After a decade on Casualty, she left the show in January 2016 but returned for a guest appearance in September 2019. Hazlegrove also performed in Queens of the Coal Age at the Royal Exchange, Manchester and joined the cast of Coronation Street as Bernie Winter in May 2019.
