Jane Marie Genevieve Wiedlin (born May 20, 1958) is an American musician and singer. She is best known as the co-founder, rhythm guitarist, and backing vocalist of the new wave band The Go-Go's. Wiedlin also played drums and provided backup vocals for the rock band The Hex Girls. Aside from her work with these bands, she had a successful solo career. The Go-Go's achieved great success in the 1980s, popularizing new wave music with hits like 'We Got the Beat,' 'Our Lips Are Sealed,' and 'Vacation.' Wiedlin's solo career included the hit song 'Rush Hour.' She also had notable acting roles, such as the singing telegram girl in Clue (1985) and Joan of Arc in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989). Wiedlin and The Go-Go's received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021. Wiedlin was born in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.
