Jane Wymark

Jane Wymark is an English actress, born on October 31, 1952. She comes from a family deeply involved in the entertainment industry, with her father being the well-known English actor Patrick Wymark and her mother being the American writer and playwright Olwen Wymark. Jane is recognized for her role as Morwenna Chynoweth Whitworth in the 1970s BBC television series Poldark. Additionally, she gained popularity for her portrayal of Joyce Barnaby in the long-running ITV detective series Midsomer Murders, a role she played from 1997 to 2011. Throughout her career, Jane has showcased her talent in various television dramas, including The Bass Player and the Blonde, A Touch of Frost, Dangerfield, Lovejoy, and Pie in the Sky. She also made an appearance as Jill Mason in the Birmingham Rep production of Equus.
