Janet Henfrey Biography
Janet Ethne Anne Henfrey (born 16 August 1935) is a British stage and television actress. She is best known for her role as Mrs. Bale on the TV show As Time Goes By. Henfrey has also appeared in several Dennis Potter productions, including Stand Up, Nigel Barton (1965) and The Singing Detective (1986). She trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art after completing her studies in English at St Anne's College, Oxford. Henfrey has had numerous TV credits, including appearances in Victoria Wood: As Seen on TV, The Jewel in the Crown, Doctor Who, and Casualty, among others.
