Janet Ruth Montgomery (born 29 October 1985) is an English film and TV actress. She gained attention for her role as Ames in the second season of the television series Human Target (2010–11) and appeared in the 2009 film The Hills Run Red. Montgomery played the lead character in the television drama Made in Jersey (2012) and starred as Mary Sibley in the series Salem (2014–2017). Since 2018, she has portrayed Lauren Bloom on the medical drama television series New Amsterdam. Montgomery's career started after producing a play with her friend Gethin Anthony. Although trained as a dancer, she chose to pursue acting and overcame initial difficulty in obtaining representation.
