Jang Dong-gun

Jang Dong-gun is a South Korean actor, born on March 7, 1972. He gained recognition for his leading roles in the films 'Friend' (2001) and 'Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War' (2004). Jang is considered one of the highest-paid actors and celebrity endorsers in Korea, consistently topping surveys by industry insiders. He spent his childhood in Yongsan District, Seoul, and later attended the Korea National University of Arts School of Drama, although he dropped out before completing his degree. Jang entered the entertainment world in 1992 through a talent contest and started his career in TV dramas. He made his film debut in 'Repechage' (1997) alongside Kim Hee-sun. Jang Dong-gun has gained popularity not only in Korea but also in other parts of Asia.
