Janine Brito

Janine Brito is an American comedian, actress, and writer. She gained recognition within the San Francisco stand-up comedy scene and became nationally known as a writer and on-air correspondent for the television program Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell. Janine joined the comedy series One Day at a Time on Netflix in its third season, where she worked as both a writer and an actor. Born in Florida, she attended school in Scotland, Hong Kong, and Kentucky. Janine is of Cuban and Icelandic descent and spoke only Spanish before kindergarten. After completing her business degree at Washington University in St. Louis, she began her comedy career in St. Louis before moving to Oakland for its vibrant comedy scene.
