Jarvis Cocker
Jarvis Cocker (born 19 September 1963) is an English singer-songwriter, musician, and radio presenter. He gained recognition as the founder, frontman, and lyricist of the band Pulp, becoming a prominent figure in the Britpop genre of the mid-1990s. After Pulp's hiatus, Cocker pursued a successful solo career. In addition to his music career, he also hosted the BBC Radio 6 Music show, Jarvis Cocker's Sunday Service, for seven years. Cocker was born in Sheffield and grew up in the Intake area of the city. Raised by his mother, Cocker credits his upbringing for his interest in women's perspectives, which is reflected in his songwriting.
