Jason Thomas Butler Harner (born October 9, 1970) is an American actor. He was born in Elmira, New York and grew up in suburban Northern Virginia. Harner developed an interest in theater at a young age, attending plays at Washington, D.C.'s Arena Stage. He graduated from T. C. Williams High School in 1988 and went on to work as an usher at the Eisenhower Theater in the Kennedy Center. Harner later earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting from VCU in 1992 and a Master of Fine Arts from Tisch School of the Arts in 1997. He has since established himself as a versatile actor in film and television.
