Jason Merrells

Jason Scott Merrells (born 2 November 1968) is an English actor known for his roles in Casualty, Queer as Folk, Cutting It, Waterloo Road, and Emmerdale. He has an elder brother, Simon Merrells, who is also an actor. Merrells studied fine art at Chichester University after attending Buckhurst Hill County High School. His acting career began in 1994 with a small role in the film To Die For. He gained recognition for his role as receptionist Matt Hawley in the medical drama Casualty and as Phil Delaney in the television series Queer as Folk. Merrells has appeared in numerous films and television shows, including Do Not Disturb (1999) and Clocking Off.
