Jay Abdo

Jay Abdo (born October 21, 1962), also known as Jihad Abdo or Jihad Abdou, is a Syrian actor. He began his acting career in 1988 and has since appeared in numerous films and television shows. Some of his notable works include Queen of the Desert and A Hologram for the King. Abdo was born in Damascus and studied civil engineering in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, before pursuing a career in acting. He further honed his skills at the Higher Institute for Dramatic Arts in Damascus. In 2011, Abdo spoke out against the Assad government, which led to threats and intimidation. He subsequently moved to the United States to escape persecution and currently resides in Minnesota with his wife.
