Jay Baruchel is a Canadian actor, comedian, director, and screenwriter. Born on April 9, 1982, in Ottawa, Ontario, Baruchel is best known for his voice role as Hiccup Haddock in the How to Train Your Dragon franchise. He has also appeared in various comedy movies including Knocked Up (2007), Tropic Thunder (2008), Fanboys (2009), She's Out of My League (2010), Goon (2011), and This Is the End (2013). Baruchel gained recognition for his lead roles in Judd Apatow's comedy series Undeclared (2001-2002) and the FXX comedy series Man Seeking Woman (2015-2017). In addition, he recently starred as BlackBerry co-founder Mike Lazaridis in the black comedy film, BlackBerry (2023).
