James H. Harrington III, professionally known as Jay Harrington, is an American actor born on November 15, 1971. He gained recognition for his role as the title character in the ABC sitcom Better Off Ted from 2009 to 2010. Since 2017, Harrington has portrayed Sgt. David 'Deacon' Kay in the TV show S.W.A.T. He was born and raised in Wellesley, Massachusetts and attended Wellesley High School before studying theater at Syracuse University. Harrington has appeared in various TV shows including Summerland, The Inside, Coupling, The Division, A.U.S.A., The Shield, Time of Your Life, Private Practice, and Burn Notice.
