Jay Hieron, born James Thomas Hieronymus on July 29, 1976, is an American actor, stuntman, and former mixed martial artist. He gained recognition as the final IFL Welterweight Champion while competing for the Los Angeles Anacondas. Throughout his career, Hieron has also competed in various organizations such as the UFC, WEC, Affliction, Strikeforce, and Bellator. Prior to his successful martial arts career, Hieron had a challenging upbringing, being adopted at the age of eight by John and Theo Hieronymous. He excelled in wrestling, becoming a two-time state wrestling championship runner-up in high school and a national Junior College Champion at Nassau Community College. After facing setbacks in college, Hieron turned to boxing as a means of personal growth and redemption.
