Jay Oakerson Biography
Jay Oakerson, born Jason Michael Oakerson on December 7, 1977, is an American stand-up comedian, radio show host, podcaster, and actor. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and raised in West Philadelphia. After moving to the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township, New Jersey, Oakerson attended Robert E. Lamberton High School. He briefly enrolled at Camden County College but left to pursue a career in comedy. Oakerson worked various jobs, including chauffeuring strippers and working at children's parties, to support himself. He has toured with Korn and opened for Dave Attell. Oakerson's television credits include appearances on Comedy Central's Premium Blend, Comedy Central Presents, Inside Amy Schumer, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, and This Is Not Happening with Ari Shaffir, as well as multiple appearances on BET's Comic View and HBO's P. Diddy's Bad Boys of Comedy.
