Jay Pharoah

Jay Pharoah, born Jared Antonio Farrow on October 14, 1987, is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He gained recognition as a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live from 2010 to 2016. Pharoah, originally from Chesapeake, Virginia, discovered his talent for impersonations at a young age and began performing them at six years old. He credits his first voice impersonation to Gilbert Gottfried's character Iago in Aladdin. After graduating from Indian River High School in 2005, Pharoah attended Tidewater Community College where he earned an Associate of Arts degree in 2008 and an Associate of Science degree in 2010. He briefly attended Virginia Commonwealth University as well.
