Jay Underwood is an American actor and pastor, born on October 1, 1968. He gained recognition in the mid-1980s for his roles in various feature films and television shows. Underwood is best known for starring as Eric Gibb in The Boy Who Could Fly, Chip Carson in Not Quite Human, Grover Dunn in The Invisible Kid, Sonny Bono in The Sonny and Cher Story, Bug in Uncle Buck, and Ernest Hemingway in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. He also portrayed the Human Torch in the 1994 unreleased film Fantastic Four. In 2001, he received the Young Artist Foundation's Lifetime Achievement Award for his role in The Boy Who Could Fly. Underwood has also worked as a pastor, serving at Calvary Bible Church and First Baptist Church of Weaverville.
