Jayne Atkinson

Jayne Atkinson is a British actress, born on February 18, 1959, in Bournemouth, England. At the age of 9, her family moved to the United States, and she grew up in North Miami Beach, Florida. She attended Pine Crest School and was elected Homecoming Queen in 1977. Atkinson graduated from Northwestern University with a BS in Communications in 1981. She then pursued her passion for acting, earning an MFA from the Yale Drama School in 1985. Atkinson is known for her role as Karen Hayes on 24 and her Tony Award-nominated performances in The Rainmaker and Enchanted April. She has also appeared in Criminal Minds, Madam Secretary, and House of Cards.
