Jean Edmond Dujardin is a French actor and comedian, born on June 19, 1972. He started his career as a stand-up comedian in Paris and later appeared in comedic television programs and films. Dujardin gained recognition for his role in the TV series Un gars, une fille, alongside Alexandra Lamy. He then found success in movies, starring in films like Brice de Nice, Michel Hazanavicius's OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies, and its sequel OSS 117: Lost in Rio. However, it was his portrayal of George Valentin in the 2011 silent movie The Artist that brought him international fame. Dujardin received numerous awards for the role, including the Academy Award for Best Actor, making him the first French actor to win the prestigious award.
