Jean-Georges Vongerichten

Jean-Georges Vongerichten (born March 16, 1957) is a French chef known for owning multiple restaurants in major cities around the world including Miami Beach, Las Vegas, London, Paris, Shanghai, Tokyo, and New York. He is the head chef of Eden Rock, St Barths and Tangará Jean Georges in São Paulo's Palácio Tangará. Vongerichten has authored five cookbooks, two of which were co-written with Mark Bittman. Raised in Alsace, France, Vongerichten's passion for food began at a young age, influenced by his family's business and his experiences dining at Michelin-starred restaurants. He underwent formal culinary training at Auberge de l'Ill and worked with renowned chefs throughout France.
