Jeffrey Allan Anderson (born April 21, 1970) is an American film and television actor, director, and screenwriter. He is best known for his portrayal of Randal Graves in the Clerks film series, including Clerks, Clerks II, and the upcoming Clerks III. Anderson has also appeared in other films directed by Kevin Smith and wrote, directed, and starred in Now You Know. Born in Connecticut and raised in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, Anderson attended Henry Hudson Regional High School, where he graduated in 1988 alongside his friend Kevin Smith. Anderson's audition for the role of 'Jay' in Clerks led to him being offered the lead role of Randal Graves, for which he received a nomination for Best Debut Performance at the Independent Spirit Awards.
