Jeff McCarthy Biography
Jeff McCarthy is an American actor and director, born on October 16, 1954, in Los Angeles. He grew up in Santa Maria, California, where he studied and performed at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts during the 1970s. McCarthy completed the masters program in acting at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. He has made numerous guest star and recurring appearances on popular television shows such as Elementary, The Good Wife, Madam Secretary, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and Cheers. McCarthy also played the father of Wayne on the CBS show Love Monkey. In addition, he portrayed Albert Schweitzer in the TV film Albert Schweitzer: Called to Africa (2006) on PBS.
