Jeff Mirza Biography
Jeff Mirza, born Jeffrey Mirza on February 3, 1964, is a British stand-up comedian and actor. He was raised in the East End of London, England, by his Pakistani parents. Mirza's family hails from the Punjab region of Pakistan and has Mughal ancestry. His paternal grandfather, Dr. Mirza Taj Baig, was a Major in the British Army, becoming one of the first South Asians to hold a Commissioned Officer rank. Mirza's paternal grandfather, Abdur Rehman Mirza, served as a Zaildar (Headman) for 40 villages in the princely state of Jammu and Kashmir before the Partition. Mirza attended Barking Abbey Comprehensive School and discovered his comedic talent at a young age, sharing anecdotes about his trips to Pakistan. He has since pursued a successful career in stand-up comedy and acting.
