Jeffrey Tambor is an American actor known for his diverse television and film roles. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Jeffrey Brookes in the sitcom The Ropers (1979–1980) and Hank Kingsley on The Larry Sanders Show (1992–1998). Tambor's most notable TV role is George Bluth Sr. and Oscar Bluth on Arrested Development (2003–2006, 2013, 2018–2019). He also received critical acclaim for his award-winning portrayal of Maura Pfefferman on Transparent (2014–2017), earning him two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and a Golden Globe.
