She is known for her roles in the Obama and Biden administrations, where she served as the White House press secretary for the Biden administration until May 2022. Prior to that, she held positions such as White House deputy press secretary, White House deputy communications director, spokesperson for the United States Department of State, and White House communications director. Psaki was also a political contributor for CNN from 2017 to 2020. Currently, she hosts a weekly television program called Inside with Jen Psaki on MSNBC.
