Jennifer Eve Garth (born April 3, 1972) is an American actress. She gained fame for her role as Kelly Taylor in the Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise, as well as her portrayal of Val Tyler in the sitcom What I Like About You. Garth also starred in her own reality show, Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country on CMT. In addition to her acting career, she is the author of the memoir Deep Thoughts From a Hollywood Blonde. Garth was born in Urbana, Illinois, and spent her youth on a horse ranch in Illinois before moving to Glendale, Arizona. She studied dance and modeling and was discovered by a Hollywood scout. Garth attended Greenway High School and later Apollo High School.
