Jennifer Bassey

Jennifer Bassey is an American actress who has worked on both stage and screen. She was born on July 22, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Bassey graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London before returning to the United States. She started her career in Off-Broadway plays and later transitioned to daytime soap operas. Bassey appeared in shows like Love of Life, The Edge of Night, and Somerset. She changed her professional name from Joan Bassie to Jennifer Bassey and gained recognition for her role as Marian Colby on the ABC soap opera All My Children. Bassey played the character on and off from 1983 until the show's cancellation in 2011.
