Jennifer O'Neill is a Brazilian-born American actress, model, author, and activist. Born on February 20, 1948, she began her career as a teenage model and spokesperson for CoverGirl cosmetics in 1963. O'Neill made her feature film debut in For Love of Ivy (1970) and gained recognition for her lead role in Rio Lobo (1970), directed by Howard Hawks. She achieved critical acclaim for her role in Summer of '42 (1971), a coming-of-age drama set during World War II. O'Neill also appeared in Such Good Friends (1971) and went on to star in Italian films like The Innocent (1976) and The Psychic (1977). She later appeared in David Cronenberg's Scanners (1981) and had a presence on television.
