Jennifer Saunders

Jennifer Jane Saunders, born on July 6, 1958, is an English actress, comedienne, and screenwriter. She gained recognition in the 1980s as a member of The Comic Strip and co-writer and star of the sketch show French and Saunders, alongside her comedy partner Dawn French. Saunders achieved further success in the 1990s with her sitcom Absolutely Fabulous, where she wrote and played the character Edina Monsoon. Born in Sleaford, Lincolnshire, England, Saunders is the daughter of a biology teacher and a former RAF pilot. She has received numerous accolades throughout her career, including a BAFTA Fellowship in 2009 for her contributions to television comedy.
