Jennifer Weiner
Jennifer Weiner (born March 28, 1970) is an American writer, television producer, and journalist. She gained fame with her debut novel, Good in Bed, published in 2001. One of her most popular works, In Her Shoes (2002), was adapted into a movie featuring Cameron Diaz, Toni Collette, and Shirley MacLaine. Born to a Jewish family in DeRidder, Louisiana, Weiner's childhood was spent in Simsbury, Connecticut. She drew inspiration from her own experiences, including her parents' divorce and her mother coming out as a lesbian. Weiner has been open about her Jewish background and being one of the few Jewish students in her high school. She attended Princeton University for her higher education.
