Jeremy Northam Biography
Jeremy Philip Northam (born 1 December 1961) is an English actor and singer. He gained recognition for his role as Mr. Knightley in the 1996 film adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma. Northam has appeared in numerous films including An Ideal Husband, Gosford Park, Amistad, The Winslow Boy, Enigma, Cypher, Dean Spanley, and Martin and Lewis. He also portrayed Thomas More in the Showtime series The Tudors and Anthony Eden in the Netflix series The Crown. Born in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, Northam was raised in a loving family and received his education from King's College School, Cambridge, Bristol Grammar School, and the University of London.
