Jeremy Paxman Biography
Jeremy Paxman is an English retired broadcaster, journalist, author, and television presenter. Born on May 11, 1950, in Leeds, Paxman attended Malvern College and St Catharine's College, Cambridge, where he served as the editor of the undergraduate newspaper Varsity. He began his career at the BBC in 1972, working at BBC Radio Brighton before moving to London in 1977. Paxman worked on various shows, including Tonight, Panorama, BBC Six O'Clock News, Breakfast Time, and University Challenge. In 1989, he became the presenter of the BBC Two programme Newsnight, where his direct interviewing style, especially with politicians, gained both praise and criticism.
