Jeremy Piven Biography
Jeremy Piven is an American actor and comedian born on July 26, 1965. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Ari Gold in the comedy series Entourage, earning a Golden Globe Award and three consecutive Emmy Awards. Piven also starred in the British period drama Mr Selfridge, depicting the man behind the creation of Selfridges department store. In addition, he appeared as Spence Kovak in the sitcom Ellen. Born in Manhattan and raised in a Jewish family of Ukrainian Jewish descent, Piven's parents were actors and drama teachers. He grew up in Evanston, Illinois, and attended Evanston Township High School.
