Jeremy Wade

Jeremy John Wade (born 23 March 1956) is a British television presenter, author, freshwater detective, and biologist. He is best known for his popular television series, including River Monsters, Mighty Rivers, and Dark Waters. Born in Ipswich and raised in Nayland, Wade's passion for fishing and biology led him to become one of the most accomplished fishermen of all time. With a degree in zoology from Bristol University and a postgraduate teaching certificate in biological sciences from the University of Kent, he also worked as a secondary school biology teacher in Kent. Throughout his adventurous career, Wade has faced challenges such as malaria, gun threats, and surviving a plane crash. He is fluent in Portuguese and also speaks French and Spanish.
