Jerry Mathers, born Gerald Patrick Mathers on June 2, 1948, is an American actor known for his role as Theodore 'Beaver' Cleaver in the television sitcom Leave It to Beaver. The show aired from 1957 to 1963 and Mathers portrayed the younger son of June and Ward Cleaver. He was born in Sioux City, Iowa, and raised in the San Fernando Valley, California. Mathers began his career as a child model and later appeared in various movies such as This Is My Love (1954), Men of the Fighting Lady (1954), and The Trouble with Harry (1955). Mathers has one sister and two brothers, including Jimmy Mathers.
