Jerry Seinfeld, born on April 29, 1954, is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and producer. He gained widespread recognition for his role as a fictionalized version of himself in the sitcom Seinfeld (1989–1998), a show he co-created and wrote with Larry David. The sitcom aired on NBC and became one of the most acclaimed and popular sitcoms of all time. Alongside his acting career, Seinfeld is known for his observational comedy as a stand-up comedian. He was named the 12th-greatest stand-up comedian of all time by Comedy Central in 2004. Seinfeld also co-produced, co-wrote, and starred in the 2007 film Bee Movie, which received a Golden Globe nomination. In addition, he created and hosted the web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee (2012–2019). Seinfeld is married to author and philanthropist Jessica Seinfeld and has three children.
