Jerry Zucker Biography
Jerry Zucker, born March 11, 1950, is an American film producer, director, and writer. He is best known for his work on comedy spoof films like Airplane! and Top Secret!, as well as the supernatural drama Ghost, which received a Best Picture nomination. Zucker collaborated with his older brother, David Zucker, on several films. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to a Jewish family, Zucker's early career began with the sketch and comedy troupe 'Kentucky Fried Theater' in Madison, Wisconsin. Together with Jim Abrahams and David Zucker, he directed Airplane! in 1980, followed by Top Secret! in 1984 and Ruthless People in 1986. Jerry and David continued their successful partnership in the film industry.
