Jerzy Trela

Jerzy Józef Trela (14 March 1942 – 15 May 2022) was a Polish actor known for his work in films, television, and stage. He starred in various notable films, including 'White' (1994), 'Quo Vadis' (2001), and 'Ida' (2013). Trela also played numerous roles on stage at The Old Theatre in Kraków and served as a Professor and Rector at the Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts. Throughout his career, he received several honors and awards for his contributions to Polish culture, including the Meritorious for Polish Culture (1989) and the Commander's Cross with Star of the Order of Polonia Restituta (2011). Trela passed away on 15 May 2022.
