Jess Weixler Biography
Jess Weixler is an American actress known for her roles in movies and TV shows. She was born in 1982 and gained recognition for her performances in the comedy horror film Teeth and the comedy The Big Bad Swim. Weixler attended Atherton High School in Louisville, Kentucky, where she was part of the Walden Theatre Conservatory Program and the River City Players acting group. She later studied at Juilliard, where she was classmates with Jessica Chastain. Weixler received a Breakthrough Award nomination at the Gotham Awards and won the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival for her role in Teeth. She has also appeared in Law & Order: Criminal Intent and was named the 'New Indie Queen' by New York magazine in 2009.
