She gained recognition for her recurring role as Bekka Lawrence in the Canadian teen drama series Edgemont, and later became a series regular on the show. Lucas has also appeared in popular TV shows such as Melrose Place, Cult, and Gotham. In addition to her television work, she has starred in films like The Covenant, Cloverfield, and Evil Dead. Lucas also appeared in Coldplay's music video for the song "True Love" in 2014. In April 2017, she announced her engagement to butcher Alex Jermasek.
