Jessie Mueller Biography
Jessie Mueller is an American actress and singer, born on February 20, 1983. She began her acting career in Chicago and received recognition for her performances in Carousel and She Loves Me, earning two Joseph Jefferson Awards. Mueller made her Broadway debut in 2011 in the musical On a Clear Day You Can See Forever. She received a Tony Award nomination for her role in the production. In 2014, Mueller won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for her portrayal of Carole King in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical. She has also earned Tony nominations for her performances in Waitress and Carousel. Mueller comes from a family of actors, with her parents and siblings also involved in the industry.
