Jewel Belair Staite is a Canadian actress known for her roles in various television series. She gained popularity for portraying Kaylee Frye in the TV series Firefly (2002–2003) and its film Serenity (2005). Staite also played Jennifer Keller in Stargate Atlantis (2007–2009), Catalina in Space Cases (1996), and Becca Fisher in Flash Forward (1996–1997). She has appeared in the Canadian drama The L.A.
